UROC has successfully hosted its first regional members meeting, which took place at Miles Smith Insurance Group in London on Thursday 15th November.

The morning consisted of valuable talks from senior industry figures to keep skip and waste operators up-to-speed with the latest changes and challenges facing the sector.

This included seminars from the likes of Nicky Ward, Senior Communications and Engagement Manager at Transport for London, (TFL) who discussed, ‘The Future of Freight in the Capital.’ Meanwhile, Jas Saimbhi, Regional Sales Manager for web.com, provided a presentation on generating more leads/customers online through SEO, social media marketing and web development.

UROC’s CEO Jenny Watts also offered an insight into waste crime and how the trade body is working closely with the government to prevent “cowboy businesses” from undercutting legitimate waste operators.

Find out more about our first regional meeting in the next edition of UROC magazine. Members can download the powerpoint slides in our Member's Area.
